The Okanagan is a hot spot for weddings, and it's easy to see why. With incredible summer weather and gorgeous lakefront venues, it's hard not to imagine celebrating your special day here. This is exactly why Jesse and Brett planned their special day at this gorgeous lakefront property in the Okanagan. Jesse and Brett are an incredible couple from out of province that chose to plan and celebrate their special day with Brandy Maddison Events in the interior. We had the pleasure of creating a romantic, relaxed and beautiful ceremony and reception for this incredible couple. Jesse and Brett made their vows to each other on August 29, 2020, and we are so lucky to have been a part of this day. From florals, design, planning, and decor, Jesse and Brett had the full BME experience.
The planning process always starts with lots of conversation about what the couple dreams their day will look like. For Jesse and Brett, it was as simple as a romantic, relaxed, and beautiful day that captured the love they have for each other. Once the couple has an idea about their big day, we create a mood board. Jesse and Brett’s mood board reflected everything they wanted their day to be. Rich with bright beautiful florals with mixed muted tones to create an effortless and timeless look. Using hints of black to accent the rest of their colour palette and let their florals and decor take centre stage in the design.
Jesse and Brett started their journey as a married couple in the summer of 2020. Which, as we know, was a very difficult year for many couples planning to get married. With constantly changing restrictions and regulations it was nearly impossible to plan ahead. Jesse and Brett chose this lakefront venue to say their “I do’s”. This venue offered an intimate and elevated space to host this romantic Okanagan wedding and its guests with incredible waterfront views. This space was perfect for arranging a non-traditional aisle to allow for spacing between guests.
This wedding day was lush with florals and greenery that framed every inch of the wedding venue. Jesse’s bouquet was lush and full of bright bold blooms that let movement flow throughout the arrangement. To continue with an intimate feeling, Jesse and Brett used one long white harvest table for their reception. The table was encased under a beautiful white pergola with hanging spheres and greenery to create a romantic atmosphere. One long floral installment was showcased as the centrepiece of their table. Laced with the same beautiful flowers as Jesse’s bouquet. Clear ghost chairs were used at the ceremony and reception to create a clean and simple look to bring a relaxed element to the day.
The decor for this romantic Okanagan wedding found a fine balance between bright bold colour and timeless taste. The day of stationary embodied this with a touch of black accents and colourful layers. A white pergola decorated with lush greens, florals, and floating spheres created an intimate area for the reception dinner. The pergola over sat one long white harvest table with clear ghost chairs. The place settings are kept simple and elegant with gold cutlery, and white ceramic plates accented with blush napkins for each guest. Jesse and Brett chose to have a simple and tasteful classic two-tier cake framed with florals and displayed with floral arrangements for their romantic Okanagan wedding.
