Bring Your Vision to Life
By Creating a Mood Board
If you aren’t familiar with mood boards they are visual representations of something you wish to create. We constantly use mood boards for many aspects of BME. Creating a mood board is one of the first steps we start when we are planning for your special day. A mood board helps bring our ideas and visions to reality. It also is key in creating flow. Mood boards don’t have to be limited to planning, you can use on for pretty much anything you want to create. We had a team night with our lovely BME girls and we created mood boards to start the new season! See some of our lovely designs below!
Creating a seasonal mood board is a great way to set the tone and ground yourself to focus on what you want to accomplish in this next phase of your year. Whether it’s aspiring to a new area of your career, wanting to implement healthy habits, changing your wardrobe, or changing the feel of your home creating a mood board helps bring your vision to light. Mood boards are great tools because they are so personalized.
The process of creating a mood board is quite simple and easy, everyone can feel confident in their ability to make a mood board. You’ll want to start with an idea of what to create. If you aren’t sure exactly what you want to make, start by gathering some inspiration. Pinterest is a great place to start. Sometimes all it takes is an image to spark your creativity.
Once you have a feel for what you want to create it's time to start gathering your material. You can create a physical mood board by printing images and gathering physical material. You could also create a digital mood board by composing digital images with a variety of subjects. This is where you can become really creative. You can use a mix of media through images, textiles, patterns, textures, and quotes. What you use depends on what you want to create. Let yourself be free with the process and enjoy the creativity!
Once you have your mood board it's time to find a spot to display it. A digital mood board makes a great desktop or phone background. These are great spots to be able to see your moldboard every day. A physical mood board is great to put on display in an area where you’ll see and be reminded of the goal you want to achieve.
Mood boards are perfect for the visual individual. They can be as extravagant or as simple as you want them to be. Mood boards take little supplies, time, or money to make. All you need is a wonderful idea that you want to bring to life!
