Join the BME team!

We are looking to hire two décor stylists, a studio assistant and an in-house bookkeeper to join our BME team!

 

DÉCOR STYLISTS:

Décor stylists are key to every wedding set-up and teardown and help make every wedding beautiful and memorable for all of our clients. You are expected to attend every wedding set-up and teardown and will work closely with the rest of our BME team. Our day’s are filled with pretty details but behind all of that is a lot of hard work, dedication, and long hours.

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Each wedding week you will be attending a one hour BME team overview meeting to review the wedding day schedule and all décor details.

 

Décor set-up & styling may include:

– Moving and unloading décor, signage, and chairs

– Setting and styling tables as per their design plan

– Assisting with floral designer with unloading and styling floral arrangements

– Finalizing every last décor detail to perfection

 

Décor teardown may include:

– Packaging all décor items including lights, stationary, candles, flowers, and any remaining styled items

– Bagging and stacking all rented chairs

– Bagging linens

– Organizing décor items for rental and client pick-up

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

– You are organized, structured and goal oriented

– You work well under pressure

– You enjoy going above and beyond for clients

– You are very personable and enjoy working with a team

– You are a quick learner and enjoy problem solving

– Previous experience in the weddings or event industry is an asset

– You are willing to climb a ladder

– You are willing to carry and move items around venue

 

REQUIREMENTS:

– Must be interested in aesthetics

– Must be available to work weekends and some week day weddings

– Must have access to a computer, email, and a cellular phone

– Must have reliable transportation ranging from all Kamloops surrounding areas, Kelowna, Penticton, Vernon and Vancouver.

 

COMPENSATION:

Starting hourly rate $15.00/per hour

 

STUDIO ASSISTANT:

Studio Assistant will be working in the BME studio helping to organize and get things back to normal after a full wedding weekend. You are expected to help un pack and put items back where they belong in an organized and detailed manner, wash and clean any items and do any prepping and packing of items that need to be set for any of the following weddings.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepping for wedding may include:

– Wrapping and packing décor items

– Organizing décor items

– Pre washing and cleaning of décor items

– Prepping supplies kit

– Prepping floral buckets for bloom arrival

– Studio clean and tidy
 

Clean up from wedding may include:

– Un packing décor items

– Cleaning of any decor items

– Washing and cleaning floral buckets

– Putting supplies away
 

QUALIFICATIONS:

– You are organized and structured

– You enjoy going above and beyond

– You are a quick learner and enjoy tiding up
 

REQUIREMENTS:

– Must be interested in cleaning and organizing

– Must be available to work the Monday after a wedding

– Must have reliable transportation to and from work
 

CONPENSATION:

Starting hourly rate $15/hour

 

IN-HOUSE BOOKKEEPER:

In-house bookkeeper will provide a variety of bookkeeping and payroll duties in the BME studio. You will help organize and keep everything on track so we can have a successful year that runs smoothly and efficiently.
 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

– Prepare and issue monthly cheques

– Prepare GST returns and payroll remittances

– Maintains bookkeeping files

– Other duties as required.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

– You are detail oriented and complete tasks efficiently

– You are a problem solver

– You are a team player with a positive attitude
 

REQUIREMENTS:

– Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping and payroll experience.

– Must have excellent computer and communication skills

– Comfortable using QuickBooks Software

– A solid understanding of Bookkeeping Principals
 

CONPENSATION:

Starting hourly rate $20/hour
